Attributes are option types such as Size, Colour or Material, each with values (S, M, L). Variants are the actual combinations for a product (for example Red / M) with their own SKU, stock and price. Variants are created from the product editor using your attributes; the Variants page lists them.
Where to find it
Sidebar → Catalog → Attributes / Variants
Step by step
- Open Catalog → Attributes and click + New Attribute.
- Enter the Name (for example Size).
- Choose the Type and keep Status Active. Set a Sort Order.
- Under Values, type the first value, then click + Add value for each more value (S, M, L, XL).
- Click Save Attribute.
- Open the product in the product editor and enable variants using these attributes.
- Go to Catalog → Variants to see every variant with its SKU, attributes, stock, price and status. You can filter by product status and stock.
